I love working with architects, builders and remodeling contractors to design the outside of your clients’ property. The earlier in the process I’m involved the better the inside and outside spaces work together. Whether it’s a remodel of an existing home or a new build from the ground up I can begin the process based solely on your drawings and a site analysis. Here are some benefits the client sees when I partner with their architect, builder, or remodeler:
- My firm uses AutoCAD 2012 for plan and elevation drawings, so I can easily share drawing files across disciplines
- I use Google SketchUp for 3D renderings. Not only does this help the client understand what I’m proposing but if your firm does not provide 3D rendering, seeing a 3D visualization for the first time can really help your clients buy into the design.
- Having spent two years studying interior design before leaping back into the landscape field, I have a good understanding of historical and architectural styles. My landscape design will complement your architectural design, not fight with it.
- At some point in my career I have built just about everything I design. This means that I know what I need for water, gas, electrical, and other utilities, and I can coordinate with you to ensure that we decide where it’s coming out of the house – before drywall goes up.
- I truly believe that design is a collaborative process. As a team we can make the client happier than they ever imagined possible.
