This landscape design and installation project in Culpeper, VA has been one of my favorite projects to date. I started with what was almost a blank slate, a five year old custom home with very little landscaping. In the front, I created a pondless waterfall and a custom white oak arbor to extend the focus beyond the immediate footprint of the home. I also created a lush, layered planting for the hillside that provides multi-season interest.
In the rear of the property, the swimming pool was in place and nothing else. I designed two separate waterfalls to cascade into the pool, a stone-columned oak-beam pergola, a flagstone patio, and rich plantings to create the perfect outdoor living space.
