I spend almost every day surrounded by plants, learning about plants, and buying plants (yeah it’s pretty awesome). That’s why I started the Watson’s Finds, so Watson and I can play with all the cool plants and share them with YOU.

Have you ever seen a subscription box like BarkBox or Kiwi and wished there was one for plants that live and thrive in the Virginia landscape? Have I got good news for you! For $66 per month (billed annually) you can join the area’s first ever plant subscription service. Each month you’ll receive three plants that I’m excited to share with you: one shrub and two perennials. If you like what you see and you want more, you’ll be able to buy them at 35% off of our retail price (for that month only). 

Shipping plants in gallon pots and larger just isn’t practical so there will be three ways to get your monthly plants:

1. Each month I’ll be hosting a pickup event at our outdoor classroom and plant lab in Culpeper. At that event I’ll share some information about the plants, answer your questions, and we’ll also have a class on something landscape-related. Classes are free to buyers club members. See the calendar of events for more details. 
2. If Culpeper is too far for you, I’ll do one “parking lot pickup” each month in northern Virginia. We’re still working out the location. 
3. For those unable to attend the pickup event, you’ll have the option to pick up your plants, BY APPOINTMENT, at our location. 

Because there are so many great plants out there, we offer two ways to use our plant subscription service:

We search high and low for Virginia natives and occasionally nativars. I know some folks are purists and don’t consider nativars “real” native plants. If that’s you, this may not be the plant subscription service for you. I still think you’re awesome, I just don’t want you to be disappointed.

I like plants and I get excited when I see something new and unusual. I also spend a fair bit of time visiting growers and nurseries. If you want the opportunity to get the plants that I just HAD to have, this club is for you. 

Can’t decide, or worried you’ll miss out? Do both options! I won’t ever do the same plants in both subscriptions so you’ll get loads of plants to play with. 

Can I request a substitution? 

Sorry, but no. This buyers club project is a labor of love so I have to keep it simple.

Can I pause my subscription?

We don’t allow that option at this time.
